First off, since Ih have been odff the net for ahwhile..Its nice to have an
account with the wonderfull folks at PATH.NET.

Now from reading Com-Priv I can see its time for Gordon Cook Bashing.
Gordon, First let me explain that I have gone back to medical school
and I can't spend alot of time right now on the net but, I will do my
best. I am visiting my folks in Florida for the holidays & then back to
Europe for school. Enough of the chatter.

Gordon, I have read your postingsd with great interest. They call you alot of
names & accuse you of being on a witch hunt. You asked many many questions.
I will do my best to answer as many as I can. Before I do go into it I might
just say that the remark by Ittai at ANS was just off the wall bull. I have
read your reports & some of the newsletter. I think that you are one of the
very few people with guts enough to speak up for what you see wrong with the
way things are being handled. Ittai just wants you to dry up and go away for
the reason - Your a pain in his Butt. But, you know that anyway. There is
no reason why a taxpaying U.S. citizen cannot questions the actions of gobv't.
Its in Hershman's best interest to get you to shut up. You actions could have
an effect on his paycheck. Tough.

You ask about Diamond Mine & pricing. Its no secret as to how it works. Joel
& Percy Foster were the ones that came up with the iudedea. The program works
just about like you stated in your postings. Non-discloure . agreements , like
with DIGEX ? I doubt it. Even if there was , again its no big secret. Doug
had a deal with Alternet and he could not re-sell. If he wanted to re-sell
there were terms available. I am sure that those terms were not in line with
what DIGEX wanted.

The CIX - You asked about CIX connectivity. T And if as an ANS customer was I
offered "Full & Complete CIX Connectivity" ? And let me add - whithout the
paying of any $10K fee ? The answer is YES. You asked my why I am no longer
amnn ANS customer in a short e-mail reply. There are several reasonsa. If this
turns into a bitching machtch I will publish tthe exact and detailed reasons and
am more than prepared to back upo what I say. For now lets hope that is not
necessary. You have wondered if DIGEX was promised the same sort of deal as
far as the CIX goes ... The answer is YES. Not maybe, just YES.

You posted requests around different areas about soemmething called three NSR list.
YEs, you should be able to get on it. Hell Alternet ,and others are PSIANSNON ANS
attached NETS and they get the reports. You asked about the quality of MCI
circuits & level of technical expertise. In my opinion, the MCI lines are
junk. There emergencty respoinse is a joke. They might do dial One Friends and
Family but, they do a bad job at data. From first hand experience the MCI
people I came into contact with were not technical and up to speed for the
jobs they were trying to do.

You have dozens of questions, too many to answer in one post. As far as the
sol. the NSF has on the street at present.. Yes, anyone can protest the
award. As far as an extension - Expect it. The network is far to complex
to just switch it over to another vendor. Oh, you ask what if MCI won the
bid ? I would expect everyone at ANS to announce new company colors. Maybe
like Orange & White. Feel free to ask me your questions in this forum and
I will do my best to reply.

Again it was a surprise to hear from you and have a great Christmas.
