Gordon,
In your last message you wrote:
My BEEF is with Time's not going BEYOND
that and thereby missing some very new and very important developments.
However, in most of your messages you spend all your time railing
against the NSF and ANS. As an example, your first message about
the Time magazine article was entirely devoted to bashing NSF and
lamenting "Why does the mainstream press *buy* this propaganda?".
Quite frankly, Gordon, you have allowed your self-admitted vendetta
against NSF, ANS and Merit to blind you to the unmistakable fact that
the Internet (cum NREN, NII, GII, etc.) story has moved on. What may
have been investigative journalism at one time is now tiresome. Your
"journalism" seems like nothing more than gossip, innuendo and
conspiracy theory. That, in my opinion, is why the mainstream press
passes you by.
The time has come to move on. We, all of us on this list, who are
evolving this wonderful technology, need to work together to make
sure the important developments are bring covered by the mainstream
press. If we behave immaturely, we will be ignored and rightfully so.
This new world has enough room for us all. By acting in a mature and
cooperative manner, we grow the market and create a better marketplace
in which to compete.
