I don't find anything that I disagree with in Doug Barnes' posting. The
Internet.....even the american portion of the Internet is a *BIG* place.
Dave Farber's characterization of things is certainly *VERY ACCURATE* for
a VERY LARGE proportion of the net. My BEEF is with Time's not going BEYOND
that and thereby missing some very new and very important developments.
I hope and believe the net is large enough for BOTH trends or positions to
remain healthy and flourish and let me add that I also hope net culture
remains strong enough so that Doing Business on the Internet must respect and
adhere to it. in my opinion Cronin's research shows that this *can* be
the case. If she is correct, and again i hope and believe she is, then
perhaps we can ALL emerge as winners.
