please, folks, all eff is saying is that it's not a highway if it goes
only one way. not that you're obligated to send back up the wire, only
that you're in effect part of a captive audience if you can't.
sorry for all the mixing of metaphors here. but just to try one more
grand one: without tru bidirectionality, we will be wired up to the
internet the way cows are hooked to the milking machine, and with the
same results.

ps -- i must admit tho that i am taken by barney wolff's idea that
there are some notions that have "no place in a virtual world."
