Following is a notice about a new electronic publication called Meta. While
I haven't had a chance to read much of the first issue, I must say it is
the most visually interesting electronic publication I've come across (I'm
not counting ora.com's GNN when I make that statement). I think this
magazine is a clear example of the boom times which exist right now for
Internet-entrepreneurs.

[	No, this isn't a random crossposting from hell. The contents
of this new magazine are relevant to each of the newsgroups
this is being posted to. There are two separate postings---one
for alt and one for non-alt groups, because I think there may
be some problem if the Newsgroups: line is more than 254
	characters. ]

[	Followups are set to be mailed to me. If you feel a need to
post, please only post to newsgroups relevant to your
	followup. ]

The purpose of this post is to announce the premier issue of a new
magazine. What's it like? Well, it aspires to be something like _Wired_,
except that it's free, electronic and more net-centric. But you'll have
to read it to find out. Oh, it's called Meta. Generic description and
instructions for getting a copy follow:

Meta is a monthly electronic magazine that covers issues of particular
interest to the net community, including, but not limited to: cryptography,
electronic publishing, free software development, intellectual property,
internet commercialization, privacy and virtual communities.

Meta is available via email and ftp, and is freely redistributable.
