You may remember a quite public announcement about a year ago that
both BARRNET and NEARNET were joining the CIX, but using ANS CO+RE to
carry their traffic to the CIX. This is the origin of the ANS CO+RE
link to the CIX, and the apparent confusion about whether ANS CO+RE is
a member of the CIX.
Whoever said that BARRNET is not a member of the CIX had out of date
information.
