Several people wonder:
>how "high speed" does a network need to be before it qualifies for
>consideration? (56Kb, T1, Ethernet, T3?)
Looks like I've typed T1 so many times I can't see it anymore....
The message was supposed to say high speed is defined as T1 or faster.
A network with a single T1 link qualifies, as does one composed solely
of T3 or faster links.
The focus is on WANs, so Ethernets or even FDDI networks within a campus
or building are not really what we are looking for, unless they have
some long distance links at T1 or faster.
There is a list of specific questions. Those who want one, please
send mail to gaonets@tic.com. I'm going to be out of pocket for
a few days, so sending mail to jsq@tic.com won't get as immediate
a response.
Thanks,
John
