One other thing is needed besides a well defined project or two, and
that is a plan to evaluate the results of the project and for followup
if the plan is successful. K-12 is littered with projects for which
there is only anecdotal evidence of success or non-success and with
projects generally acknowledged as successsful for which there was not
a followup plan to scale them, introduce them elsewhere, and continue
to have them evolve to be ever more useful. A lot of money has been
wasted on successful projects in this manner.
