I support the idea of exposing children to networking as early and
pervasively as possible. For the same reasons I would march a child
into a museum, or the symphony, or a research facility.
Perhaps if we can't solve their problems, and it seems we can't, we
can at least light that light which causes a person to begin solving
his or her own problems. Even if just to start that child on the road
to demanding solutions. Without a glimpse of the goals, the
possibilities, one has nothing to strive for, and comes to accept
one's milieu. Children are not passive elements of our society, they
are active elements.
Networking is language, society, civilization and science all rolled
up into one charismatic presence.
Even if you cannot give a child achievement, at least let him look
upon it and wonder.
