Ahhh but what if SURAnet or JVNCnet wishes to join CIX?? Or any of the 30
or so other midlevels? How do you figure the price? It would really be
wild if most midlevels joined leaving the backbone as a National Gigabit
Testbed!? (Note I am not necessarily advocating this as a desirable course
of action. Just speculating.)
Seriously though, how long before we see another mid-level join? And can
anyone give any idea whether the cost of the midlevel doing such might be
$50,000 or 500,000 a year?
