I certainly would not be happy if a non released CREN document was  
distributed widely. I deplore such compromises of non released  
documents. Many moons ago -- in 1985 ish, while I was at Udel we  
wrote a paper titled:

TITLE:
THE TRUSTED OFFICE OF THE FUTURE

AUTHORS:

Prof. David J. Farber, University of Delaware
Peter G. von Glahn, University of Delaware
Stephen T. Walker, Trusted Information Systems, Inc.


in which we pointed out the dangers of the loss of control of  
documents in the electronic world and pleaded for work on security  
before the sh_t hit the fan
