A brief response to Dan's inquiry about Internet NICs. I am co-chair
of the NISI Working Group (Network Information Services Infrastructure)
which falls under the User Services Area at IETF. We will be
meeting on Wednesday afternoon. We are working toward defining some
common shared Internet-wide network information services.
One of the first things we will be setting up is a "nic-forum"
where representatives of nics around the world may share information
and bring questions/problems.
