But I can recall quite distinctly being called by Silicon Graphics just
after the Internet worm incident, and being asked if they could use the
Internet to distribute the requisite bug fixes to their Internet-connected
customers.  That seemed to me a public-spirited and eminently sensible
request and of course NSF said "yes."  -s
