Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure everyone will), but doesn't LISTSERV
only allow you to add a subscription if it matches the one in the
header of the message (as a security measure of some sorts.)

I seem to remember having a problem subscribing a local distribution
list (typically to stuff the LISTSERV list into a local netnews group)
and had to find a human at the LISTSERV end to do it by hand.

Note: I'm not pointing out a simple bug, but a real design flaw that
may be hard to fix (w/o making some hard choices.)
