I have a problem with libraries charging for value-added services,
as is proposed in Seattle, WA and that has been implemented in
other PUBLIC libraries across the Nation. Of course, the handwriting
is on the wall that the days of the Free Lunch are over and Cost
Recovery is a buzz-phrase. Access to public information has become
Big Business. I'm in agreement to let the market decide whether
this trend will succeed. Somehow I think it will.
