Speaking for Anterior's RadioMail(R) service, each user will have a
RadioMail Box(TM) address, i.e. username@radiomail.net. Mail sent to a
users RadioMail address will instantly be routed to the appropriate
wireless network for broadcast (the RadioMail gateway is linked to ARDIS,
RAM and a multitude of one-way paging networks). If the users packet radio
is off or out of range, the message will be held until they turn on or
return to coverage.
Mail sent from a wireless RadioMail user can either have their
return address be their RadioMail Box address or the gateway can
make it look like their wireful e-mail address. Replies then go back
to their regular mailbox, which through intelligent filtering, can make
a decision to forward a copy of the message off to their RadioMail address.
