I would applaud it too if it were something really new.
As for having "a Laptop that can be on the Internet from coast-to-coast
at a low cost ", we still don't have all our homes (which tend to be
pretty stationary) hooked up. And as far as cost, a fixed point connection
costs more than even most companies can afford much less the general public.
Fluff is nice, but what we really need is a ubiquitous network for the whole
country.
