There was a notice on com-priv, about a month or two back, that
NSF was helping to provide net connections to Czechoslovakia.
(I wasn't the author.) I've been told by Steve Goldstein at
NSF that the report was in error. It confused two different
presentations at a conference. NSF is not able to provide such
support to other countries.
