In response to your query, Cupid is a project under the umbrella of
the Coalition for Networked Information to use Xerox DocuTech (tm)
technology for custom publishing and to preserve books that are
falling apart because they were not printed on acid-free paper.
The consortium includes Cornell, Harvard, and I believe six other
universities.
