Sean:

    Actually, those people *are* accountable to you as a voter.  I'm
sure if you got enough voters to call their congressmen and suggest that
the advisors to the FNC are not representative, you'd see changes.

    Now I tend to dislike that approach because if used too much one
finds the advisory board packed with token figures to appease different
communities.  Remember we as consumers buy "brand names" too, so the
right name may appease the right community even if that name person isn't
really a good representative.  So if you're going to beat on your congressman,
I suggest you do it carefully, lest you get what they thought you asked for
rather than what you wanted.
