Dave,

You might note that Larry Landweber of the Univ of Wisc
Computer Science Dept maintains a continuing Connectivity Table
of entities reachable via the Internet.  The Table is based
on the official ITU/ISO list of countries and territories.

The Table as well as a graphical representation will be a 
regular feature in the Internet Society News - the first
issue of which will be in the mail next week.

Larry's current tally on connectivity is 106 countries and
territories reachable via the Internet (some only by EMail)
as of 10 February.  The Table actually evolves almost daily,
and Larry appreciates update information <lhl@cs.wisc.edu>.

The degree of "connectivity," which is difficult to represent,
is conveyed with letter symbols in a matrix.
