Fortunately, the EUnet AUP isn't that Euro-centric. It is is mainly
concerned in guarding against transit traffic and uncooperative behaviour
of some sites.

		EUnet Policy Guidelines
		=======================

1. The European UNIX network (EUnet) is primarily concerned with providing
networking services for the Research and Development community, which
includes both academic and commercial users.

2. EUnet services are provided by numerous individuals and organisations on a
best-effort basis in a co-operative, non-profit making manner. Because of
this policy it is essential that every user bears a fair share of the
   costs.

Commercial exploitation of EUnet is not permitted.

Membership of the European UNIX systems User Group (EUUG) or an affiliated
national group is a prerequisite for EUnet connection.

3. Using EUnet and other networks for unauthorised transit traffic is not
allowed. Transit traffic is any traffic that neither orginates nor
   terminates in the network concerned.

In the case of traffic to and from other networks connected to EUnet their
rules and regulations must be respected by the EUnet user.

4. All users should avoid actions that cause unnecessary work or
   inconvinience to other EUnet users.

All users should be identifiable and should behave responsibly in regard to
   security.

Site administrators should ensure that users work within this framework.
