Are there any networks that are actually self-supporting? That is,
are there any networks that are funded entirely by user fees, as
opposed to government or foundation grants?
And in a dream last night, I saw the future of telecommunications:
NERTS, the National Education and Research Telephone System. Only to
be used for non-profit purposes.
