Info retrieval deserves its own list, in fact for those who
believe z39.50 and info-retrieval are synonomous there already
is a mailing list hosted out of UFL.
I'll be glad to set up a seperate list on uu.psi.com, PSI will
be distributed a technical report on Z39.50 fairly soon which
might be an interesting posting....

I would love to participate in an intelligent and technical discussion
regarding information-retrieval using the Internet (and Usenet)
infrastructure, but I don't think this is the place. Perhaps we can
use comp.theory.info-retrieval which seem rather empty and/or create a
list/newsgroup to discuss network services and applications.
We can, of course, also choose to expand the mandate of this list.
