You represent the R&E establishment, of course you'll find it tedious,
because the discussion itself represents a threat however small to the
paradigm that you prostelitize.

For others who are interested in commercialization (undoubtedly the
prime reason this mailing list was created) it may represent real good, you
should let them decide. I do believe that the R&E networking issues
are addressed in the FARRNET mailing list, and there you will find
more solace.

I see a lot of smoke and flame and silly mindreading
exercises. I'm not sure this list is contributing anything to making
progress on these issues, either for people making decisions or those
trying hard to understand why those decisions are being made. I'd
like to hear from anyone who thinks that this list is enlightening
overall. I'm thinking it isn't, although I'd like to hear more from
Dave Farber. He has a rational head on his shoulders, doesn't blow
smoke, and knows something about history by virtue of being there. I
wish more of those listening who have been there could speak up.

This list needs Ms. Manners, not Dr. Ruth. Let's give it a
rest for a while. It's tedious.
