Stan,
We offer services to NYSERNet right now, we have been approached by
other regionals to discuss similiar or different scenarios than what
we have with NYSERNet, so Bill Schrader is talking to them.
Economics is only one of the vectors
of the complexity, politics is another vector, and finally government
intervention is another. Every regional appears to have some unique
desire and goal adding further complexity.
Meanwhile, considering the fact that none of the regionals have any
real motivation to change (I think they are all planning on being
on sabattical in the Fall Semester of 92), PSI continues to plod along
on a sustainable course.
Do you have enough material yet to make your point?
Marty

So, the jist of this is that PSI is NOT willing to consider offering
service to the regionals for the "out-of-NSF-guidelines" networking because
the economics are too complicated.
Is this correct?
STAN
