As Al Weis said to me in Novemebr of 1990 regarding the $5 million that
IBM had pledged to his own venture ANS:
The prestiege factor and payoff in that area of being seen as the
leader in NREN is worth far more than $5 million to IBM!
Of course 3.5 years later there's a certain irony to his statement.
Certainly there is a lot of POSITIONING going on....
