This has already been done, as far as I know. In the MCI-BT deal, ,where
BT bought about 20% of MCI for $4.3 billion, on of the side deals was the
creation of "Newco," which would handle the global data services of the
new joint venture. Hoewver, MCI also bought out BT North America's
Syncordia company, the data services firm. That has *already happened*
it was completed weeks ago.
