Health Care Reform Bookshelf Available on the Global Internet
CAMBRIDGE, MA (February 21, 1994) -- The IBM Health Care Reform Bookshelf,
an electronic book containing the President's health care proposal and
report to the American people is now available via the Internet by
Counterpoint Publishing.
The Health Care Reform Bookshelf contains all health care reform
legislation introduced in Congress in 1993, including the President's
proposal. Also included in the Health Care Reform Bookshelf are President
Clinton's report to the American people, the Administration's
section-by-section analysis of the Health Security Act of 1993 (S 1757),
documentation of the federal budget effects, and a methodological
description of health care reform premium and discount estimates. All the
IBM BookManager programs needed to read and search these electronic
documents are also included.
Counterpoint will provide users with a password to allow them to FTP the
Health Care Bookshelf to a temporary directory on their personal computer.
Once the Bookshelf has been downloaded, the user simply types runme. This
will automatically uncompress the necessary files and create a directory
called readibm. After all the files have been created, the user then types
install. To open the Bookshelf once it has been installed, the user types
readibm health. Instructions on how to use BookManager are included in the
files.
For those without access to the Internet, Counterpoint will also provide
this product on disk.
The Internet Health Care Reform Bookshelf runs on either DOS or IBM OS/2.
The cost of the Internet Health Care Reform Bookshelf is $99.
