Alright **name** the unprovable allegations Philip..... I challenge you. Or
are these aleged "allegations" FACTS which add up to a pattern of action of
shutting the public out from what's going on and when one asks why and gets
obfuscation from NSF....then all of a sudden in YOUR vocabulary they become
*allegations* because you can then label them as smoke and spend YOUR time
with YOUR hype which, as you acknowledge, is much more fun than having to dig
on your own?
I have dug on this far more than the general press Philip. Yeah digging is
"expensive." Evidently too expensive for you and for the Time magazine who
employs you. Why too expensive? Well because I guess your management has to
carryfully conserve its megabucks to pay off the interest on the debt from the
Time Warner mergers?? So I infer from your stance that Time and YOU can't
afford expensive digging. Funny thing, you know, if you *KNOW* HOW to use the
network, you can do a lot of digging via private email.
Were my successful predictions on last weeks awards **allegations** or did
they turn out to be factual Philip?? Exprensive to dig this up? Frightfully!
Three phone calls early in January and the rest intensive email over two weeks
with 11 different sources. And since the internet is a local phone call for
me the financial burden of that research was just terrible! :-{
I state what I *know* to be factual here. And what I don't know I ask a
helluva lot of questions about. Now if this all seems like too much work for
you who of course **do** have OTHER things to write about, why don't you
get on with YOUR work and leave me to get on with MINE?
But as Alan Sugarman suggested unless you are willing to DISPROVE what Stroup
is saying, sly nit picking from the sidelines doesn't accomplish much. Let
others decide whether they want to attack what Stroup is saying. A
**journalist** worth his salt should get out there and dig and show Stroup to
be right or wrong. If you don't want to do that, let the non journalists here
decide whether to complain. You take what I tell you and say "ohhh now I
understand" and what Dave tells you on the Well and say "gee that was terrific
dave." Please forgive me for getting frustrated when a day or two latter you
react as though none of this had sunk in.
