There are a number of INTERNET-DRAFTS that are trying to address the issues
with nomadic users.  I'd suggest that providers and others read them.  PPP,
as discussed earlier is only half of the problem.  What good is it if I am
going over 6,000 mi of copper for my V.32bis connection and then 4' to the
server?  They are trying to address local attachment and then trusted access
across the public net.

Very interesting reading, but more should contribute, I'd expect...
