In the NYC Late Edition it was below the fold in the business section. The
lead stories were:

Business Digest |Blue Monday' It Isn't | A chart
------------------------|As Dow Regains 34.90 |

and just above the fold:

Buisness Disest |Building Cranes Rule The Congested Sky of Berlin
                        |
                        | (complete with before and after "The Wall" photos)

and just below the fold:

44 Million Words Strong, | Encylopedia | Surge in America Online
Britannica to Join Internet | Comparison | Investors Buying a Concept
                                | Chart |

How the news looks still depends on which edition of the paper you are reading.
You gave a CT address, you get one of the "out of metro area" editions. For
the out-of-towners, the NYC Edition of the Times is published in 4 sections
Monday to Friday, 2 on Saturday, and 13 sections on Sunday (not counting ad
inserts).

Bill, a Times reader, but one who still misses the NY Herald Tribune
