Subject: Happy 93rd Birthday, Tracey Carten (al440@freenet.carleton.ca)

Please send birthday greetings to Tracey Carten
(al440@freenet.carleton.ca). At 93, Tracey could well be the
oldest net-surfer in Canada!!! (or maybe even the world!?)

>Eric, after I saw you today I heard that our resident Tracey Carten al440
>will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow Feb.4. He will be 93!!
>So if you want to send him a greeting tomorrow, that would be great
>and I'll get him on the system sometime in the afternoon. Thanks!

>Kay

Kay Knobel (ak400) works with a group of 8 or 10 residents (average
age about 85) at a public access Freenet Station in the dining
room of St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa - a long term care facility for
        the aged.

In July of 1993, we started an outreach program to link
residents with their families, friends and the community using
the Internet. The Freenet station uses a tired old xt with a
13" monochrome monitor. If someone wanted to donate a nice
386 with a LARGE screen, Tracey, Kay and St. Patrick's Home would
be eternally grateful (and would issue a tax receipt).
