Understandably, users often want to know how to save results in Maple
and print them out. Unfortunately, the limited info the consultants
have had in past has led them to suggest commands like "writeto" or
"appendto" as a method to achieve this.

Please *do not* suggest this. These commands can cause the user to lose
control of their Maple session. They are only useful in writing Maple
programs, not in interactive use.

The proper solution is to either use:

  save varname, filename; # to save the contents of a sequence of variables

or:

  open(file);
  write(expression); # to save a sequence of expressions
  close();

The olc stock answers have been update with this (and other) information.
