Just a comment, in case nobody has already noticed:
Isn't /bin/csh on the rs6k the real csh, and not a link to
/bin/athena/tcsh?
If so, why do you 2 want /bin/csh instead of /bin/athena/tcsh at the
top of your .xsession? Does the prob exist when you change this?
btw, until today, I had /bin/csh in my xsession, and had no probs.
