Hi!
I was confused by the fact that it says in help the default margins
for LaTeX are 1.75 inches, while it says in the LaTeX minicourse and
in the OLC stock answers that the default margins are 1.875 inches.
To remove all doubt, I did some printing and measuring this morning
and came to the following conclusions:
For 10pt documents, the default margins are 1.875 inches.
For 11pt documents, the default margins are 1.75 inches.
For 12pt documents, the default margins are 1.5 inches.
If you don't believe me, try it and see!
