I'm sorry that EZ doesn't work for you on the color Vax 3100.
I agree that EZ shouldn't kill the X server.
Unfortunately, EZ shouldn't be held responsible for using valid Xlib
calls and having a buggy X server die. That is the problem. Who is
responsible for resolving problems with BUGWindows (aka DECWindows) on
that host?
