Gee, the next time I have to work with somebody else's old code I'll have
to remember to track the previous authors down so that I can send it back
to them so that they can modify all their code so that it will meet GNU coding
standards so that that I can use assorted GNU utilities so that I can
clean up the code further which is why I was using emacs/elisp in the
first place. I obviously shouldn't have thought that robustness would
interest the FSF... maybe thats why etags sometimes thinks that "if" is
a function... I'll have to hunt around the etags documentation and see
what feature that is supposed to provide.
Jik: If you are doing ongoing bug tracking, you may as well flag this as
done if you haven't already. I've hacked up tags.el to do what I need
it to do, so there is no point in anybody wasting any further time
on this.
