What were you trying to do?
See if there were hardware problems with the monitor, before
trying to log in here. I figured that one of the no-login choices from
the xlogin menus, such as "browse not-LUCY's answers", would be useful
for this.
What's wrong:
The following appeared in the console window:
sh: /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/s/sao/scores/lucy.log: cannot create
sh: /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/s/sao/scores/lucy.log: cannot create
I tried this again on another RT, and got the same errors.
What should have happened:
Not sure. Maybe programs invoked from xlogin menus should not
depend on access to user home directories?
