What were you trying to do? login on an RS/6000 (also, a user question
in OLC about this error)
What's wrong:
$initdir/login (/usr/athena/lib/init/login) contains the line:
/bin/stty dec # Use DEC-style control characters
on all platforms, including the RS/6000. This gives the error:
"unknown mode: dec"
on login.
What should have happened:
no error
