Thank you for your recent bug report.
You reported that when you attempted to bring up a new window using
the "New Window" menu option on the DECstation 5000 named test-5000,
the machine "rebooted immediately."
First of all, are you sure that the machine "rebooted" and did not
just log you out? How long did it take after the screen went blank
before you were able to log in again? Did any messages appear on the
screen when you were logged out? If you can't remember them exactly,
can you give a general idea of what they said?
Second, did the problem really occur on the machine from which you
reported it, or on some other machine?
Third, has the problem occurred again since you sent in your report?
Once again, thank you for the report.... we will try to track down the
problem.
