Hi! My TERMCAP information doesn't seem to update all the time when I
resize an xterm.
Background: today I had an xterm, I don't know what size. I tried to
run /mit/register/register, and it said:
Unknown (or not powerful enough) terminal type.
TERM = (vt100)
No matter what I did (resizing the window, ^c,^d, return, etc) would
let me run the program or get out of it, but I was able to stop it and
kill it. But then I thought of my problem running help yesterday, so I
tried to get some additional information to see if anyone would be
able to figure out what's going on:
mickey-mouse /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/c/a/carla :-) echo $term
xterm
mickey-mouse /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/c/a/carla :-) echo $TERM
xterm
mickey-mouse /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/c/a/carla :-) printenv TERMCAP

See, it TERMCAP thought my window was 80x24, but it was really 94x24
by the time I typed those 4 commands. I don't know exactly what size
it was when I tried to start up register, or what size TERMCAP listed
it as being.
Is there anything I should be doing to get more information for you
guys?
