   Just to let you know that the zero-length bug is alive and well in
   6.0C, I lost my .newsrc and .oldnewsrc today.  No big deal though.

The fix that we've made to this problem requires that both the
workstation and the file server be updated to run kernels from version
6.0C or later.  I don't believe any servers outside of paris and priam
have been updated just yet, and we're having one or two problems with
those which we are looking into now; you can probably expect to see
updated servers sometime this fall though.  (Soon, I hope....)
