What's wrong:
The files in the locker /afs/athena/project/gnuplot is fairley
outdated. The source code existing in that locker is version 1.2,
although versions upt to 3.2 has been released. Furhtermore, the
executales in that locker are not compiled properley (or became so
after all the file system changes in the past) The search path for
support files are incorrect. I have compiled a vax executable of the
most recent version in my home directory. I contacted the owner of
the files in that locker (crcraig) and discoverd that he is long gone
from MIT and is no longer actively maintaining the locker. If that
disk space is idling around doing nothing, I would verymuch like to
move the executables and the source from my home directory to that
disk space, and make the program available to everyone on the network.
Please forward this message to the appropriate liason in charge of
project lockers.
