I tried both in my statup activities and on an xterm to run zwgc.
What's wrong:
athena% zwgc
zwgc: Hostmanager not responding while setting location
zwgc: Hostmanager not responding while subscribing
athena% Error while subscribing: Hostmanager not responding
zwgc initprog exec: Error 0
zwgc initprog of </etc/athena/zinit> failed with status [20].
What should have happened:
You know... is it this terminal, or the release that's in trouble?
The network near you was being flaky for quite a while today. These
errors were almost certainly caused by that, and not by any bug in the
release.
P.S. IN old releases, the warning the machine gave about mail when the
home directory could not be attached was that any incorporated mail
would be lost. Since 7.3 that is no longer the case; mail ncorporated
in such a session is not deleted from the he. mailbox. The warning
text should be changed accordingly.
The message has not been changed because not all mail clients are
smart enough not to delete mail from the post office when the user
goes over quota.
Also, it is easier for us to process bug reports when you confine
yourself to one per message, or at least to one general topic per
message.
