What were you trying to do?
run irc client (ircII 2.1.5g) on server irc.mit.edu (ircd 2.7.2c)
What's wrong:
The client does not have a complete help availible when using the command "/help" within the program. I believe this is available for ftp from cs.bu.edu in directory /irc, if it could be installed here. Also, the server (irc.mit.edu) asks users to enter the command "/umode -i" but then the client doesn't seem to recognize this command. As well, error messages continuously pop up which say:
"*** <user-name> :Channel not found"
Finally, i believe that a program called "pident" should be running before irc is run on a machine. Is this available?
