System name: courbet
Type and version:	POWER 7.4E
Display type: hiprf3d

What were you trying to do?
I was looking at the Xlogin screen, the one with the colored
icons and motd-text file display.

What's wrong:
The ascii picture was indecipherable. When I looked across the
room at the color rt, I could see that it was supposed to be a grumpy
fuzzball. On the RS6000 it was completely distorted, sort of smeared to
the right.

What should have happened:
The fonts should have lined up. i suppose the default font for
Xlogin motd text on an rs6000 is proportionally spaced. If you're going
to draw with characters, you have to use a fixed font, as I'm sure you
already know.
