If you are on a 7.4 workstation, then -v will work with add. As you may
have noticed in reporting the bug, that you were on a 7.3P machine, and
hence the new feature does not work at that point.
Please try again on a 7.4 workstation and after 7.4 goes to the field
(sometime in July), you will see a consistantr behavior on all machines.
