I have rarely used moira to update AFS groups in the past, but I tried
it out, because there's been so much talk. I did this:
% blanche ckclark -a mwm_user
This added mwm_user to system:ckclark almost immediately (within a
minute). However, when I do
% blanche ckclark -d mwm_user
mwm_user is *not* removed from system:ckclark. It has been 14 hours
since I executed this command.
Thomas Yu <tlyu@mit.edu> noticed a similar behavior with some groups he
maintains. It seems that moira is only capable of *adding* users to the
pts database, and is not capable of removing them. Is this true? If
so, I think it is a problem that needs to be addressed.
Note that if this is the case, I cannot remove mwm_user from
system:ckclark without assistance from a system administrator, because
it is a system group, and I am not the owner.
Please explain.
