Good news on ez caret bug.

CMU has told me that they found a fix for the caret drawing problem,
and it is part of their internal development version (which
has already advanced from the CD Rom release we have, and which
is unstable.)
What I plan to do is to LOOK AT the latest version of the one
low level C file that has changed, and incorporate ONLY the change
relevant to the fix, if possible.
I expect to know by the close of business Tuesday whether this
fix is easy to do. If it goes ideally well, I'll have a fix
to send to release engineering by then. (DO NOT plan for the ideal
case!)
